Avocado Flat Bread Recipe (Vegan)| Plant-based Flat Bread Recipe | Vegan Flat Bread Recipe
This is a very healthy and nutritious and easy to make flat bread recipe. A great replacement to the store bought flat bread.
1-1/2 cup mashed avocados
1 – 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
Juice of 1/2 lime OR lemon
1/2 cup cilantro OR parsley (finely chopped)
Salt to taste
2 cups whole wheat flour OR flour of your choice
1/4 cup Olive Oil (to brush on the flat breads) OR Butter
KETO VERSION – AVOCADO ALMOND FLOUR FLATBREAD RECIPE
1/2 Cup Mashed Avocado
1 – 2 cloves of Garlic (Minced)
1/2 tbsp of Lemon OR Lime Juice
1/2 cup Cilantro OR Parsley (Finely Chopped)
2 cups of Almond Flour OR Any Gluten-free flour of choice
3/4 teaspoon Xanthum Gum OR 2 tablespoons of Psyllium Seed Husk
Salt to taste
Add the minced garlic, lemon juice and chopped cilantro. Mix well.
Add the almond flour and xanthum gum (OR Psyllium Husk Powder) and salt. Mix well and knead for 2 – 3 minutes. Cover and let it rest for 10 mins.
After resting the dough, cut it into equal size pieces. Roll each piece into little balls.
Place the dough ball between two sheets of parchment paper and then roll it with a rolling pin. To make a round shape.
Heat a non-stick pan OR cast iron pan on medium high heat.
Lay the flatbread on the heated pan very gently. Cook for 1 -2 minutes on one side and then FLIP IT GENTLY and cook for another 1 – 2 minutes.
Remove from the pan and serve.
