Chickpea Curry Recipe
Cream color chickpeas (also known as garbanzo beans), or kabuli channa in Hindi, make a tasty and nutritious curry dish called chana masala. This bean is also widely used in Middle Eastern cuisine, and is used in hummus making. With Plain Basmati Rice, Rice with Cumin and Peas and the Baked Whole Wheat Flatbreads, you can enjoy this curry. A small bowl of diced tomatoes, onion and green chili peppers tossed with lime juice is commonly offered, allowing each person to scatter over their curry serving. While cooking this dish, either canned beans, which are quicker, or dried beans, which must be soaked overnight and boiled, can be used.
