Gajar halwa recipe ingredients

  • 2 cups carrots,
  • 2 pinch of saffron
  • 2-3 cardamoms pods, crushed
  • 3 cup milk
  • ¼ cup ghee
  • 10-12 cashew nuts
  • 10-12 Almonds
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • Small pinch salt ( its help in increasing the fragrance of saffron or cardamoms )

Gajar ka halwa recipe Processe

  • Peel and grate the carrots in a bowl.

  • Place a kadai on the stove over medium flame.
  • Add ghee, some saffron, and 2 crushed cardamom or grated carrots with milk.
  • Stir continuously to avoid lumps and burn.
  • Cook till the carrots are soft and the milk is evaporated ( changed to Khoa).
  • Take another pan put some ghee, and add dry fruits like cashew nuts, and almonds. Saute and stir till dry fruits become golden brown.
  • Now add these golden brown dry fruits to soft carrots pan and stir continuously to mix well. 
  • After that add sugar to the halwa. Cook for 4-5 minutes and off the flame. 
  • Add a small pinch of salt to increase the fragrance of Halwa.
  • Now your Gajar ka Halwa is ready to serve in this cold season.
