Ingredients

  • Whole fat milk – 1 liter
  • Sugar – ¼ cup
  • Almonds – 6 to 7
  • Pistachios – 6 to 7
  • Saffron – few strands
  • Elaichi powder – a generous pinch
  • Rose essence – a few drops

Instructions

  1. Put the whole milk in a non-stick pan and make sure it is a wide mouth. Boil the milk in medium flame. Once it begins to boil, reduce the heat to low and continue to cook slowly.
  2. Stir frequently.
  3. Leave the malai (cream) to thicken at the pan’s edge.
  4. Keep stirring once in a while, so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan, and collect malai/cream on one side of the pan.
  5. Boil until the milk thickens and the consistency is 1/4 of its original volume.
  6. Meanwhile, wash the almonds and pistachios and slice them thinly. Set aside.
  7. Soak saffron in 2 tbsp of warm milk.
  8. Add sugar (According to the Sweetness you want), Elaichi powder, and soaked saffron threads, and sliced almonds and pistachios.
  9. Mix well, remove from Fire.
  10. Now the last step is cool that in the refrigerator and Ready to serve.
